Citizenship and Immigration Canada will be introducing the Canadian Experience
Class, in fall 2008, for selected temporary foreign workers and International
students who have obtained Canadian degrees and have at least a year of
work experience in Canada. This will allow students and foreign workers
to apply for Immigration within Canada.
This initiative will help Canadian employers fill labour shortages and also
be beneficial for students are on Post-Graduation work permits and temporary
foreign workers who want to make Canada their home. This new category will
also make the transition of smoother for foreign workers to permanent residents.
