Provincial Nominees For applicants who qualify in the aforementioned occupations, please contact our office for more details on E-LMO Provincial Nominee Programmes The provinces in Canada are given the right of selecting individuals who will ability to become economically established in the province and become permanent residents of Canada. The provinces select the individuals on the basis of their education work experience. The following provinces use the Provincial Nominee Programme to select individuals; Alberta- This is British Columbia Manitoba New Brunswick Newfoundland and Labrador Nova Scotia Ontario Prince Edward Island Saskatchewan Yukon Alberta- This programme is a run by the Government of Alberta [Ministry of Employment, Immigration and Industry and Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The Provincial Nominee Programme is an employer based programme and is established and suited to meet the needs of employers who are unable to find workers within the province to fill positions in the company. This is a two step-process. The first step is when the employer applied to Alberta PNP, presenting their business and the need for the qualified workers from overseas to fill position in the company. The employer must be able to demonstrate that there is no permanent resident or Canadian citizen to fill the position. The second step is when the employee identified by the employers demonstrates his/her ability to fit the profile by way of work experience and/or education documents, training documents any licenses required by the position. The job offered to the employee must be for a full-time, permanent job. The Alberta PNP has the following categories; I. Employer based- - Skilled Woker category - Semi-skilled worker category - International graduates category II. Self-employed farmer category British Columbia- The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Programme, is designed for qualified workers and entrepreneur's who wish to establish themselves in the province and become permanent residents of Canada. The two main categories under PNP, which have further sub-categories are; I. Strategic Occupations a) Skilled workers b) Designated Health professionals. c) International graduates THE MOST RECENT INTRODUCTION OF d) Entry level and Semi-Skilled Pilot programme- this new introduction is for select occupations in the tourism industry, long-haul trucking occupation, and the hospitality industry. This is a two year Pilot programme for qualified employers in the province and qualified overseas workers. Occupations for ELSS - Hotel Front Desk Clerks - Tour and Travel Guides. - Outdoor Sport and Recreational Guides - Casino Occupations Food and Beverage Service For hotels only For Hotels and Resorts CHANGES WERE MADE TO THIS PROGRAMME IN SEPTEMBER, 2007 Business Skills; Applicants must- · Invest a minimum of CDN4,00,000 to establish or expand a qualified business in B.C. *FOR A LIST OF QUALIFIED BUSINESSES PLEASE CONTACT OUR GUIDANCE COUNSELLORS. · Equity of minimum 33.5% in the business. Applicant must further prove that; o They have a personally networth of CDN$8,00,000 or more that was legally
obtained. REGIONAL BUSINESS PROGRAMME o Invest a minimum of CDN2,00,000 to establish or expand a qualified business outside Vancouver and Abbotsford Metropolitan area. *FOR A LIST OF QUALIFIED BUSINESSES PLEASE CONTACT OUR GUIDANCE COUNSELLORS. · Create 1 new position in the business for a Canadian citizens
or permanent residents. Applicant must further prove that; · They have a personally networth of CDN$4,00,000 or more that
was legally obtained. The Manitoba PNP is designed for applicants who have the training, skills, education etc to work in Manitoba, and can establish themselves economically in the province. The various categories under the Manitoba PNP are; Ø General Stream- this category is applicable to applicants who have worked [for minimum six months] or studied and completed education other than a language programme in Manitoba. If you have a close relative settled in Manitoba or close friends or distant relatives who are living and established in Manitoba, you may add the proof of the same to the application. Ø Family Support Category- If you have a close relative who is settled and established in Manitoba, and who will support your PNP application and be actively involved in your PNP application for Manitoba, you may apply under the Family Support category. You must be able to meet the age, work experience, language and education requirements. Ø International Student Category- Students who have completed a post-secondary programme at a education institute in Manitoba, or have obtained a post-graduate work permit and are currently employed under the conditions of the work permit or have a regular work permit for a full-time, permanent offer of employment with an employer in Canada are qualified to apply for PNP under this category. This category is given priority processing. Ø Business Immigrants- To qualify applicants must- There are other Immigration alternatives available for applicants who
wish to settle down and establish themselves in Manitoba.
Health Field Manufacturing Field Skilled Worker Field- construction related Education Field Ø Ontario's Provincial Nominee Programme for International students who have graduated from an eligible Canadian education institute and have been offered employment in their field of education. The job offer must qualify under Skilled level A, B or C of the National Occupation Classification. International students must have completed a diploma or a degree from a post secondary institute. Part-time studies do not qualify for PNP. Skilled workers and International graduates applying under the PNP must ensure the employer's are qualifying employers for the PNP. Ø Multinational Investors Category - Companies that make a significant investment in Ontario may qualify for this category. To qualify the company must; - Invest a minimum of CDN$10 million in a qualifying investment. Saskatchewan-Provincial Nomination Programme categories for this province are; Ø Skilled workers- this category helps employers fill full-time positions with qualified workers. There are further subcategories in this main category; a. Workers on existing work permits in Saskatchewan. Ø Family members- People who are settled and established in Saskatchewan may bring close relatives to settle down in Saskatchewan provided that they will be able to provide assistance during the immigration process and until one year after they land in Saskatchewan. The supporting family must ensure they understand the extent of their responsibility of assisting the relative arriving in Saskatchewan. Ø International Students- Students who have graduated from a post secondary education institute in Saskatchewan and have been offered a full-time position in their field of study may apply for PNP. The international student must have completed at least six months of employment in Saskatchewan related to his/her education. Ø Entrepreneur- oInvest a minimum of CDN 1,50,000 to establish a business or buy a business
in Saskatchewan . Ø Farm Operators and Owners- This category is designed for individuals who have experience in farming and have capital to invest in a farm with an intention to buy and establish a farming operation in Saskatchewan. To be considered for the Farm Operator or owner all of the following criteria must be met: 1. The applicant must have made an exploratory trip to Saskatchewan.
Ø Health Professionals- designed for professionals working in the health field in Saskatchewan for at least six months on a work permit to obtain permanent resident status. It is further divided in the following categories: - Nurses Ø Long haul truck drivers- long haul truck drivers working in
the province on work permits with trucking company's that have been approved,
may apply for permanent resident status once they have completed six months
of employment with the company.
